1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord
And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up.
Train up a child in the way he should go, when he is old he will not depart from it.
Discipline your son while there is hope, and do not set your heart on his destruction.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with promise: "that is may be well with you and you may live long on the earth." Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up wit the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord.
For You O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Children are going to do foolish things. But correcting them will drive that foolishness far away.
Don't hold back correction from a child. If you correct them, they won't die. So correct them. Then you will save them from death.
